Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Recon (recon.ltd). By creating an account you agree to them. Questions: hello@recon.ltd.

What Recon does

Recon writes social media posts and short videos from what you give it, schedules them, and publishes them to the accounts you connect, when you approve them or when you have turned on autopilot.

Your content and your accounts

  • You own what you write and upload, and the posts Recon writes for you.
  • You give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to run Recon for you: writing drafts, making videos, and publishing to the platforms you choose.
  • You are responsible for what is posted from your accounts, and for following each platform's rules (for example X's, LinkedIn's, Meta's, TikTok's and YouTube's terms). Connecting YouTube also means agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service.
  • AI-written drafts can be wrong. Read what Recon writes before you approve it, especially anything with a number or a claim in it.

Acceptable use

Don't use Recon to spam, to impersonate anyone, to post anything illegal or deceptive, or to break a platform's rules. Don't try to get around usage limits or access other people's data. We may suspend accounts that do.

Trial, plans and cancelling

  • New accounts get a free trial with no card required. After it, a paid plan keeps Recon running.
  • Paid plans renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Plans & billing; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
  • Prices and limits are shown on the Plans page. If they change, we will tell you before your next renewal.

Availability

We work to keep Recon running and posting on time, but it depends on third-party platforms and their APIs, which can change, rate-limit or go down. Recon is provided "as is", without guarantees that every post will go out exactly when scheduled.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Profile. We may close accounts that break these terms, and will tell you why where we can.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
